- Looking for any one researching the EMERSON family of Erath and surrounding
counties. Levi EMERSON, md. Mollie CLEMENTS in about 1901. Any information at
all on the EMERSON or CLEMENTS family of this county would be most welcome.
Levi and Mollie were said to have died in a big influenza epidemic. Was there
a big flu epidemic in 1918, 1919? Thank you, Judy

- I am seeking information on my grandmother Jackie KINDEL who was born in
Stephenville in 1872. She later moved to Weatherford where she graduated from
Weatherford College in 1891. Her father's name was Richard W. KINDEL and I believe
he was born in Tennessee. She married John S. OGLESBY, don't know where or when,
but she lived in Dallas for many years. I would appreciate any information.

- I am looking for information on Frederick M. ISAACKS, wife Mary, and daughter
Sarah E. listed in the 1850 Cherokee county census. Mary died in about 1851-2
and Frederick married Nancy DEAVIS. They left Cherokee county and moved to Erath
county. There was also a John Jackson SPARKS that could have been a close friend
that migrated with the ISAACKS and later married Sarah E. Any information on
the ISAACKS or SPARKS families would be greatly appreciated.

Carmen. GG Grandfather: Felix VILLARREAL (b. 1846, d. 7/24/1923 in Lockhart),
GG Grandmother: Josefa GUERRERO (b. 1858). They had 10 children - I only have
the following names: Marie VILLARREAL (b. 1871) married Seviera GARCIA (b. 1869),
Felix VILLARREAL Jr. (b. 1890), Francisco VILLARREAL (b. 1893), G Grandmother
Delores (Lola) VILLARREAL (b. 5/23/1897) Lola was born in Seguin TX, but moved
to Calwell Co. Felix was employed at the County court house as an interpretor.

in Stephen V. ALEXANDER who lived in Henderson County prior to moving to Bosque

- 1870 Erath Co. Census shows James Mathew TUCKER family. Wife Susanah, b.ca
1819 TN. Some of their children were: James M. b. ca 1833, John C., Lucy Ann,
Wm.L., Tennessee, Joseph A., Robert A., George W., Harriet Jane. Some of this
family resided in Erath Co. as late as 1910 some went to New Mexico & Colorado
.Would like to hear from anyone with links to this family, or knows where they

- My father and I have been looking for the NORWOOD family tree. My grandfather's
dad was Jewel Lee NORWOOD. We believe that he moved to Texas and was killed
working on an oil well. If anyone could help us out we would really appreciate

- I am searching for descendants of my great uncle Perrin WALDREP that came
to Texas in about 1884 and lived in Hamilton Co. and Bosque Co. His family was
in the Hamilton Co. census for 1910 and since then we do not know where the
family lived. Family still in or around Hamilton Co. cannot remember where he
went.

- Lorenza born abt. 1856 lived with a Doctor KING according to census records
1870 in Bowie county. Was full blood Cherokee indian. Married Barbara AKIN,
born abt. 1856 also, in Savannah Georgia. Moved back to Bowie late 1800s, some
sort of epidemic moved them on to Coryell County. Then Lorenza and Barbara moved
to Coryell County with their children Frank, John, Pinkie, Hattie, Thomas, Kate,
Mattie and Luther Devora born 02 November 1888. The names are correct we just
don't know if the events are as they were given to us. If anyone has any information

- Would like to find other descendants of John B. HIGHTOWER and Mary (MORRIS)
HIGHTOWER. John was born in 1822 in Georgia and Mary was born in 1832 in Alabama.
They were married in 1849 in Cherokee county, Texas. John died in 1876 near
Morgan Mill, Erath county, Texas. Mary died in 18?5, after John. They are both
buried in Hightower Cem. Erath county Texas. Their children: Louisa married
William Henry JORDAN (my line); Mary E. married a Mr. YOUNG; Martha Jane married
W.A. GORDON; Permelia married Wm.J. AIKEN; Frances married J. W. ALLISON; Eraline
HIGHTOWER married R.B. EDWARDS; Robert married ?

- Catherine Louisa DANIELS born 9/15/1893 in Hillsboro,TX to Eli F. and Mariah
(sp) DANIELS. Surname could be listed as DANIEL. Eli was born Jan. (?), 1871
in Alabama and Mariah was born in Texas in Oct. 1874. There may be a marriage
certificate for Eli and Mariah DANIELS in 1892 or 1893. I am looking for any
information on this family and in particular a birth place and maiden name on
Mariah. There may be a death certificate also on Mariah as appears she died
very young. Thanks for any help.

- I am looking for information on a Lewis P. SIMER/P'SIMER. He left Kentucky
between 1853 and 1857, moved to Illinois where he married Mariah ROBERTS. They
had at least one child while living in Illinois. They had a total of eleven
(11) children: 1. Isabella 2. Martha 3. George 4. Sarah 5. James 6. Thomas 7.
Lewis 8. Alexander 9. Mary 10. John 11. Clara The family name was PICKLESIMER
at the time of birth but was changed to P'SIMER/SIMER prior to moving to Illinois.
I would appreciate any assistance in development of an entire descendant chart
on this family. My goal is to publish a complete genealogy on this family from

1889 Erath County, buried Evergreen Cemetery, Lipan, Hood County. Married Eliza
LEDBETTER b. 21 Jun 1820, d. 11 Dec 1886 in Erath, buried with husband. They
moved with most of their children to Erath about 1858. Had children Mary, Lucy,
Andrew, Margaret, Nancy, Caralina, Sarah Frances, Martha Isabelle, William,
Robert Samson, James, H.J. and George M. Who were Charles' and Eliza's parents,
what happened to the children? Any information appreciated.

- I am looking for any info on the family of Ellen Caroline WOLFE b. 28 Nov.
1840 in Johnson Co., Ark. Ellen m. Alex SANDERS who died. She then m. John David
KARNEY on 23 March 1870 in Hopkins County, TX. Ellen and John had eight children
named Sarah Lucinda, Levi Summers, Dan Bert, Sparks Andrew, Mary Emeline, Lewis
David, Martha Jane,and James Patrick. Ellen d. 7 Feb. 1910 in Hopkins Co. One
known brother was named Tobe. Three sister were a twin named Martha, Sarah,
and Sallie. My grandmother always said that we were related to the WOLFES who
started the WOLFE NURSERIES. I have recently found that the nurseries were opened
by Ross R. WOLFE in Stephenville in 1919. Does anyone have any info on these
WOLFES? Ellen was my great grandmother. Any help or suggestions would be greatly
