My mother 's maiden name was HUX. She was living with her family in Dublin, when she and my father Daniel HENNESSEY married July 27, 1911. My father was living in Proctor, just five miles from Dublin. My mother had an uncle and aunt named Litleton and Mary EVANS BLEDSOE, she always said they owned a Mattress Factory in Dublin, if you ever run across in info on them in a newspaper , or any info on EVANS or BILLS that might have lived in Dublin in the late 1800 or in the 1900's, would appreciate any info on ancestor or decendents. My ggrandmother was Elthany BILLS married Ephriam James EVANS, they settled in Robert Lee, Texas.

Looking for descendants of Thomas SPARGER (1835-1924), who came to Erath County about 1880 from Walker Co., Georgia, via Tarrant County, Texas. He died in Tarrant Co. while on a visit to kin, but is buried with wife at Victor Cemetery, Erath County.

George P. WALLACE of Erath County was buried in Corinith Cemetery in 1919. He was born in 1848 in Miss. He served in the 40th Miss. during the Civil War and lost an arm. He immigrated to Texas after the war. I'm looking for any war records that provide information about his service. His father is James WALLACE born in Kentucky in 1807 and his mother is Mary (Polly) LESTER WALLACE born in Georgia in 1824. George had a wife named Sarah. I'm looking for her maiden name. I have lots of information on the Wallace family of Erath County and would be happy to share.

Henry Alfred LATIMER and wife, Florence LATIMER came in covered wagons from Maryland or Virginia. Both are buried in Erath County, in Hannibal, Texas with 3 or 4 little girls. My great-grandmother, Mattie Megs LATIMER TAYLOR CASE was one of their daughters as was Lucinda "Lucy" LATIMER (who married a Truman EVA(?). Other names mentioned in the same document were an Aunt Fannie MARTIN, Aunt Molly, Uncle Tom DUWEESE. Any info appreciated. Thanks.

My grandfather is listed in the 1870 census in Stephenville. His name is Bartlett FRY age 26, his wife is Amanda, age 24, with a daughter Nancy, age 1. They were possibly married in 1869 in Erath county. I would like to know who this Amanda was and what happened to the daughter Nancy.

My ggrandfather Homer JACKSON was a pioneer Texan from around the turn of the century. He lived in Roaring Springs, Caprock and Goodlett, He died Feb 15, 1960 and is buried in Stephenville. Family records mentions Rocky Point I am not sure what significance this has maybe the name of the cemetary. Homer was born in Macon Georgia in Nov of 1870. I am seeking information on his life, the names of his parents and siblings. Any help you can lend would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Marion David ROBERTSON was shot and killed while making an arrest in Erath County TX on 29 Mar 1879. I have a letter written to my great grandfather, Marion's brother, dated 26 May 1927 which says Russ HOLLOWAY turned himself in for the killing nearly 50 years after the crime. This is said to have come from a newspaper article in the "Dublin paper". What would the name of this newspaper be? Would it be possible to get a copy of the article? Are there any other sources of information available on these two events? Thanks.

I am looking for information about Lemeul E. SELF born1879, his brother Hassel born 1888, and James P. born 1884. Lemeul married Mattie YOUNG, daughter of Harvey YOUNG and Theodocia PEACOCK YOUNG of Erath County. Mattie died within a few years of this wedding in childbirth. Raymond Lee OXFORD and wife Fannie POPE OXFORD are found in the 1900 census of Erath Co. along with sons William Lamin and Walter Oxford. The father died in Erath co and is buried in or near Stephenville. The sons went to Arkansas and the wife remarried to a ROBINSON and went to Ok, City. Anyone researching the OXFORDS of Erath co.?

SHERWOOD and ROGERS,RODGERS Info on James Lee ROGERS who married Betty Elizabeth SHERWOOD. Betty Elizabeth had two brothers named Benjamin and William Presley SHERWOOD and were in the 1880 census in Erath Co. They all later moved to Oklahoma, I think, in the early 1900's. Betty, Benjamin and William's father and mother were ,I think, William and Lucy SHERWOOD.
